One of the questions I’m often asked over the phone, during consultations or at my sessions is, when should I come back?
With all wellness treatments, it’s important to gain an understanding for how your body feels and reacts. What are your wellness and health goals for yourself? Did you only want to de-bloat while working on fitness, did you want to detox to help your body heal? Everyone has a different reason and a different goal for why they choose to work with us at Well and Truly.
While it’s easy for me to say any number of sessions for an individual, it is about your outcomes – but for most people I would recommend at least three. During the process of colon hydrotherapy, the water comes up into the intestine, but after consecutive sessions, the water is allowed to come higher up through the whole intestinal passage, which can be up to 7ft long in an adult, for a complete cleanse. However, you may not need the standard three sessions for this to happen – it depends on your health history.
After your first session, you will feel the difference in your body, so you can begin to decide for yourself. You’ll know how you feel, what’s being released, and where the water is getting to. You can align this experience with your own wellness goals and decide if and when you come back. A maintenance session may be once per month, or once every couple of months. If you were intent on having a full and intense cleansing, you can have up to one session a week for three to six sessions.
